Lotion Bar

Course: lotion bar

Equipment

  • 1 double boiler with water
  • 1 quart glass jar
  • 1 kitchen scale
  • 1 wooden stirrer
  • 3 plastic pipette measure out Essential Oil and drop into mixture
  • 1 set of measuring spoons
  • 1 silicone molds (bee related)

Materials

  • 5 oz shea butter
  • 5 oz mango butter
  • 3 oz castor oil
  • 3 oz olive oil
  • 2 oz avocado oil
  • 1 oz sunflower oil
  • 1 oz beeswax
  • 1 oz essential oils (vanilla, rose, honeysuckle)
  • 6 tbsp arrow root
  • 20 drops propolis tincture
  • 2 capsules vitamin E

Instructions

  • Use kitchen scale and weigh ingredients
  • Melt oils with beeswax in glass jar using double boiler
  • Turn off heat, keep jar in double boiler and stir in butters
  • Stir in arrow root after all is melted
  • Stir in tincture
  • Break open capsules and stir in vitamin E
  • Stir in Essential Oils and pour into silicone mold
