Lotion Bar using local Beeswax

Equipment

  • 1 set silicone bee lotion bar mold
  • 1 double boiler
  • 1 pint glass jar
  • 1 kitchen scale
  • 1 plastic pipette for measuring / dropping Essential Oil

Materials

  • 3 oz olive oil
  • 3 oz mango butter
  • 2 oz beewax
  • 40 drops lavender Essential Oil

Instructions

  • Place glass jar on kitchen scale and weight ingredients - make sure to tare after each measurement
  • Using double boiler, melt beeswax and olive oil
  • Remove from heat and stir in mango butter
  • Stir in lavender Essential Oil and pour into silicone mold
  • Makes 7-8 bars
