You and all of our community members are invited to the Wye River Beekeepers June 17 meeting!
The club is excited to have Virginia Webb join us to talk about Honey Shows in the US and Across the Globe. There is so much for Maryland beekeepers to gain in participating in a Honey Show that the Wye beekeepers thought it would be wonderful to have the best of the best present this topic.
Virginia Webb has won over 100 first-place awards for her Honey Show entries, including four gold medals at the World Honey Show for Best Honey in the World (2005 in Dublin, Ireland; 2009 in Montpellier, France; 2013 in Kiev, Ukraine; 2015 Daejeon, South Korea).
A lifelong dedicated beekeeper, Virginia is a wealth of knowledge and experience on every aspect of beekeeping. She is full-time commercial beekeeper and queen producer. She is a charter member of the Russian Queen Breeders Association and the only certified Russian Queen Breeder in Georgia. For more than forty years, Virginia has championed the role of the honey bee in helping to sustain global agriculture and promoted the honey bees' diversified productivity, from nutritional products to health and beauty aids.
Additionally, WRB has been offering a Beekeeping Essentials class (shortened Beekeeping 101) monthly since January. The class starts at 6:15p, 45 minutes before our monthly meeting. You are welcome to join us at this as well.
Please see the attached June 17 Agenda for complete details including location and feel free to post or email this to others.
Hope to see you there!
