Honey Spice Pull-Apart Bread
2025 MSBA Honey Show winner for sweet yeast bread

Equipment
- 1 large bowl
- 1 set measuring cups
- 1 set measuring spoons
- 1 bread loaf pan
- 1 English Muffin ring can use mason jar ring
- 1 plastic wrap
Ingredients
Dough
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg room temperature
- 4 cup bread flour
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp coriander
- 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tbsp active dry yeast
Filling
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3 tbsp honey
Instructions
- Liquids at 80degree F. All other ingredients at room temperature
- Combine the milk, water, oil
- Add and mix the honey, salt and eggs
- Add yeast and flour
- Mix and knead the dough until soft and springy
- Let dough rise in a warm place until double in size (approximately 1 hr)
- Filling: mix softened butter and honey and set aside
- Roll dough 1/2" thick. Using an english muffing ring, large biscuit cutter or wide mouth mason jar lid, cut circles out of the dough
- Spread half of each circle generously with the softened butter mixed with honey
- Fold the circles in half and place them, round side up, in a greased loaf pan
- Press each folded circle into the pa until it is full.
- Cover losely with plastic wrap and let is rise for about 30 minutes (until puffy)
- Preheat the oven to 325degrees F and bake loaf for 22 to 24 minutes
