Item Two: Lifetime Membership for Couples
• Issues with class and honey show registrations as lifetime memberships were only good for a single registration, conflicting interpretations discovered by Phil Frank when started using computers to register members and class seats in 2019
• Historically, purchase of a single lifetime membership covers both people in a married couple. Over 40 registrations with 2 names currently. Earliest recorded in 2012.Nothing in records specifies if lifetime membership is only to be used for an individual or if it can be applied to a married couple.
• No recoverable board vote on this topic. Original vote did not specify.
• New guidelines as of 2019 clarify that lifetime memberships are for an individual only. No couple registrations allowed after 2018.
• Motion by Toni Burnham: Offer individual lifetime memberships to lifetime members who registered as a couple before 2018. Lifetime members with 2 names on registration will be informed. Those that have a couple’s lifetime membership with only one name (spouse in not listed on registration). David Clark seconds, motion carries
Item Three: Membership Directory/Privacy policy
• Tabled until full Board discussion can take place.
A motion to adjourn was made by Kim Mehalick and seconded by Pam Hepp, the motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 7:41PM.
