Ultimate Easy Honey Cake

Equipment
- 1 mixer
- 2 mixing bowl
- 1 set measuring spoons
- 1 set measuring cups
- 1 spatula
- 1 9" round cake pan or loaf cake
- 1 parchment paper
Ingredients
- 2 cup all purpose floug
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 3 large eggs room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or orange juice
- tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare: preheat oven to 350degree F. Lightly grease cake pan and line with parchment paper
- Whisk dry ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg
- Mix the wet ingredients in another bowl. Beat the eggs with the sugar until smooth
- Add honey, vegetable oil, coffee or juice and vanilla extract and mix until well blended
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet until just combined. Do not overmix - a few lumps are ok.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Smooth the top with a spatula and Back 40-50 minutes until toothpick comes out clean
- Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cool you can dust with powdered sugar, icing or drizzle with honey.
