Maryland's Apiary Inspector Dog, TUKKA, had extensive leg surgery and is undergoing physical therapy so he can return to serving our beekeeping community. To help defray the medical bills (which are never cheap), Montgomery County Beekeepers' Association has set up a fund where anyone can make an online tax deductible donation to defray Tukka's medical bills. 100% of net donations go to Tukka.
UPDATE: We raised over $14,000 to help Tukka recover! This round of fund raising is done, but you may want to contribute to our Apiary Inspection Fund - the people who inspect our hives and take care of the disease sniffing K-9's.
